As Continuim’s Director of Process Optimization, Paul provides operational and strategic leadership to the firm’s portfolio companies and management teams with a focus on implementing Lean Manufacturing to transform the shop floor, increase capacity, lead integrations, and drive improved financial results. Prior to joining Continuim full-time, Paul was an operating partner for Continuim at Merlot Vango Tarping Solutions. During his time at Merlot, Paul doubled the manufacturing capacity within Continuim’s first year of ownership through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Before his time with Merlot, Paul served as the Director of Operations and then Vice President Operations for a specialty coatings manufacturer in Pittsburgh, PA prior to its sale to The Sherwin-Williams Company. Before integrating the company’s formulas and equipment into Sherwin-Williams, Paul implemented a new ERP system, streamlined the manufacturing process, storage, and flow of materials, and increased capacity through improve asset utilization. Earlier in Paul’s career, he served in multiple operational roles for Omnova Solutions where he obtained his Six Sigma Blackbelt and focused on operational optimization, control system configurations, and ERP implementation. Paul graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, including a minor in Environmental Engineering. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and they enjoy attending concerts, theater, local events in various Pittsburgh neighborhoods, and traveling to visit family and friends.
