David Gibson Bio

David is a Managing Director and is responsible for originating, structuring and managing investments across all industries for Comvest’s direct lending strategy. Prior to joining Comvest, David was a Director at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on originating and managing credit investments for the firm’s Private Credit business. He was a founding member of Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group, the predecessor direct lending platform focused on sponsored and non-sponsored middle-market financing transactions. Before that, he held originations, underwriting and portfolio management roles at Twin Brook Capital Partners, GE Global Sponsor Finance, Heller Financial and LaSalle Bank. David received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University Bloomington.
