JJ Hearty Bio

JJ is a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Coalesce Capital. He is responsible for the firm’s origination efforts, including establishing and maintaining coverage of the firm’s corporate, investment banking and other intermediary relationships. He has 15 years of experience in private equity and financial services business development. Prior to joining Coalesce in 2024, JJ was the Head of Business Development at Two Sigma Impact. He was previously a Principal at Freemark Partners and a Director at Riverside Partners. JJ received a BA in Economics, with honors, from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
