Milap Choksey Bio

Milap joined Clearspring Capital Partners in 2018 and takes a leading role in all aspects of the investment process, value creation and portfolio management. He is a Board Director and the lead Asset Manager of Regal Confections and Voyages Traditours, and has more than eighteen years of consulting, operating, private equity and mergers & acquisitions experience. He is currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Regal Confections, a Canadian market leader in confectionary distribution and freeze pop manufacturing, which has grown significantly since Clearspring's platform acquisition in late 2020. Prior to joining Clearspring, Milap was a senior leader within the strategy & corporate development group at Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC), where he worked closely with the executive team across CTC’s ~$15B family of companies (including Canadian Tire Retail, Sport Chek, Mark’s, Gas+, Canadian Tire Bank, and CT REIT). Prior to that, he worked in management consulting at Bain & Company where he focused on growth strategy, operational improvement, and commercial due diligence engagements within Bain's North American Private Equity Group. In addition, Milap’s experience includes several years in private equity and mergers & acquisitions at Birch Hill Equity Partners and CIBC World Markets, respectively. Milap received his HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, BESc (Electrical Engineering) from Western University, and MBA from INSEAD.
