Before forming CIP Capital, Mr. Lipton was a Principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners. At DLJMBP, he completed a broad range of private equity transactions across the business services, media, consumer, energy and industrial sectors and was responsible for deal sourcing, investment due diligence, deal execution and post-closing value enhancement. Mr. Lipton also worked on several investments for DLJ Growth Capital Partners L.P., the growth capital fund within DLJMBP. Before joining DLJMBP in 2002, Mr. Lipton worked in the Global Industrial and Services Group at Credit Suisse, where he worked on a variety of mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions for corporate clients and financial sponsors. Mr. Lipton currently serves on the Board of Directors for 3Pillar Global, SBI, Affinitiv, Adstra, eDriving, Frontsteps, GlynnDevins and Carnegie Learning. He is a former Director of OnCourse Learning, RevSpring and CoAdvantage. Mr. Lipton graduated from Cornell with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management.
