Vivek Melwani Bio

Viv joined Centerbridge in 2008 and is a portfolio manager for the Firm’s global credit investing activities. He also serves as a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining Centerbridge, Viv was a Partner in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring department at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, a leading international law firm. In 2006, he was named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnarounds and Workouts. While practicing law, Viv also was honored consistently by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading individual in Bankruptcy/Restructuring.
