Michael Phillips Bio

Michael is an Investment Partner and a Member of the Board of Managers of Castik Capital S.à r.l. Prior to Castik, Michael was an Equity Partner at Apax Partners for 22 years, where he was: a member of the global Executive Committee; member of the Investment and Exit Committees; and global co-head of Financial & Business Services. During his leadership tenure, funds under management increased from <€1bn to over €30bn. Before Apax, Michael was general manager of an operations subsidiary of OTTO Holding in Cologne, and spent four years at Ciba-Geigy Canada, as an engineer in their Plastics Additives division. Michael holds a B.Sc. in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University, Canada and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
