Omar Akbar Bio

Omar is a Managing Director in the AlpInvest Co-Investment team where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in North America. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2018 from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he was a Senior Investment Manager in the Private Equity Department. Omar received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
