Nigel McDermott Bio

A pioneer in the alternative financing sector in Ireland, Nigel is a co-founder of Cardinal. Prior to founding Cardinal, Nigel co-founded the NCB Group, which grew to become one of Ireland’s largest and most successful investment firms. He was a founding director of International Investment & Underwriting (IIU), a proprietary investment firm regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Nigel is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI) and is approved as a PCF by the Central Bank of Ireland. He brings his considerable experience to the Cardinal investment committee for both Private Equity and Real Estate Finance funds.
