Leonard Kim Bio

Leonard L. Kim is a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets with primary responsibility for Asia. He has been a member of the Investment Committee/Portfolio Management Committee since 2010. Prior to joining the Private Markets team in 1997, Leonard was a director of Peregrine Capital Limited, a leading investment bank in Hong Kong and prior to that, a vice president of Kimbaco Limited, a Korean-owned financial advisory and direct investment firm, also in Hong Kong. He began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse in New York. Leonard holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Leonard has served on the board of several portfolio companies including Hite Beer, ON*Media Corporation and LG Card in Korea. He currently serves on the board of Mankind Pharmaceuticals and ITQ in India.
