Peter Tang Bio

Peter Tang is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a Managing Director at Butterfly. In this role, Mr. Tang oversees all aspects of the firm's financial activities and leads the firm’s strategic and growth initiatives. Prior to his appointment as CFO, he was one of the first members of the Investment Team and has played a key role in several of Butterfly’s investments, including Pete and Gerry's Organics, Generous Brands, Bolthouse Fresh Foods and Pacifico Aquaculture. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Butterfly Equity Foundation. Prior to joining Butterfly, Mr. Tang worked at KKR with Mr. Waglay, Mr. Patel and Mr. Prelle as an investor on the Consumer Retail Private Equity team. Previously, Mr. Tang was with Moelis & Company where he was involved in a variety of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions, including several in the food industry. Mr. Tang graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business of the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Business Administration.
