Steve Byers Bio

Steve is a partner and CFO at BPEA. Prior to joining BPEA in 2016, Steve was Vice President/Controller of Benefit Street Partners (BSP), where he was responsible for the finance and operations activities. Prior to his work at BSP, he was the controller for Summit Partners, where he oversaw the financial reporting and valuation aspects of all of Summit’s funds. Steve began his career with Ernst & Young as an auditor specializing in the financial services industry. Steve received a BA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
