Nick Charleton Bio

Nick Charleton is the Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Brighton Park Capital. Nick has extensive experience both in-house and in private practice. Prior to joining BPC in February of 2022, Nick worked at Gunderson Dettmer, where he represented emerging companies and led investment transactions for a variety of venture capital fund clients. Nick was previously Commercial Counsel at Reuters, where he managed a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including handling domestic and international privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory issues. While an M&A Associate at Paul, Weiss, Nick’s transactional practice involved advising both public and private entities in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private equity and public financings, company formation, and corporate governance. Nick holds a JD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.
