Before joining Breck Partners, Afshar was an investment professional at Blue Sage Capital, a middle-market private equity firm based in Austin, Texas. While at Blue Sage, Afshar partnered with portfolio company leaders on strategy, organizational and operational opportunities, with a focus on companies in the manufacturing and specialty services industries. Prior to Blue Sage, Afshar started his career as a management consultant in the Dallas office of the Boston Consulting Group. While at BCG, he advised corporate clients across a range of industries on initiatives including growth strategy, cost savings, and organizational transformation. Afshar holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys being outdoors.
