J.B. co-founded Swander Pace Capital in 1996, a middle-market private equity firm. He is on the board of Burgerville USA, Willamette Valley Meat, Superior Fruit Equipment, Diversified Marine, and Bamboo Sushi. He has participated in more than 50 investments in private companies including Applegate Farms, totesISOTONER, Fleischmann’s Vinegar, International Fiber, Central Coast Surfboards, ReNew Life Probiotics, Oregon Chai, American Hard Cider, and Reef Sandals.
