Heloisa joined Blantyre in early 2018. As Managing Partner & Chief Operating Officer, she is responsible for all internal and external reporting, all financial and operational aspects of investment structuring, execution and valuation as well as tax, legal and compliance. Heloisa is also a voting member on Blantyre’s Investment Committee. Heloisa Chaney has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, including over 14 years of experience in management roles in the alternative investment management industry having founded, built, and managed investment firms at a senior level. She has extensive experience overseeing a variety of private and complex credit instruments across multiple investment vehicles. Prior to joining Blantyre, she was a founding partner and COO of 400 Capital Management LLC (“400 Capital”), a structured credit asset management firm. She founded the firm in 2008 with her partners and was responsible for developing and managing the firm’s trading and asset management operations, legal, compliance, accounting, tax, HR, and systems management. She served as a member of the Investment and Operating Committees. Prior to joining 400 Capital, Heloisa was a principal at Paramax Capital Group responsible for raising, investing and managing capital across three funds, which focused on structured finance transactions, including equity in cash and synthetic CDOs and CDOs-squared and Expected Loss Notes. Heloisa was responsible for developing and implementing valuation, risk management and surveillance systems, investment and valuation policies, operational activities, portfolio management processes, and quantitative analytics. Heloisa began her career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan. Heloisa received a Masters in Financial Engineering at Columbia University, in which she focused on engineering methodologies and quantitative methods for pricing credit and equity derivatives and options. Heloisa received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
