John Overbay, Managing Director, is a member of the BlackRock Long Term Private Capital investment team, based in New York. John brings nearly 20 years of experience across private equity, M&A, and strategic advisory. John was most recently a senior member of Carlyle Global Partners, a private equity program focused on longer-duration private capital investment opportunities. John was previously a Principal at Broad Sky Partners and Court Square Capital. He previously worked for Warburg Pincus and Hicks Muse Tate & Furst. John began his career at J.P. Morgan as an Analyst and Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. John received his BA in Economics from Middlebury College.
