Jeff Helminski Bio

Jeff Helminski has compiled a diverse professional background over the prior 20 years including experience in private equity investing, manufacturing engineering, high-volume assembly operations management and real estate development. Mr. Helminski is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Auxo Investment Partners. Jeff is responsible for overall firm leadership, capital and deal sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing the firm’s investments. Prior to co-founding Auxo, Jeff was a Managing Director with Blackford Capital. Prior to that Jeff was President of Campus Village Development Company, a Rochester, Michigan based developer and operator of student housing. Jeff also worked for General Motors; he served on GM’s engineering staff and was a production supervisor and operations manager of Final Assembly at the Pontiac East Assembly Plant. Jeff earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering degree from Purdue University as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Jeff’s current and past involvement in community and policy-related organizations include the Spectrum Health Hospital Group Board, Broadway Grand Rapids, the Oakland County Business Roundtable and the Urban Land Institute where he has held both national and local leadership positions. Mr. Helminski has been recognized with numerous awards including Dealmaker of the Year, Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 under Forty and as one of the Most Powerful Business Leaders in West Michigan. Mr. Helminski is a member of YPO and lives with his wife of 24 years and their two sons in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
