Brian has over 30 years experience in the Semiconductor and technology industry and is based in Palo Alto California. In 1993, Brian was founder and CEO of Parthus Technologies Plc (now CEVA Inc), a leading Digital Signal Processing company which supplied technology and IP to over 40% of the world’s smart phones. In 2000, Brian led the company’ Initial Public Offering with a dual listing on the Nasdaq and LSE stock markets. In 2002 Brian founded and was chairman of GloNav Inc, a leading GPS company which developed the first single chip GPS solution deployed in the Samsung Galaxy phones. The company was sold to NXP in 2004. Brian is co-founder and Managing Partner of Atlantic Bridge Capital from 2004 to present time. During that time, Brian has served as a director on over twenty technology companies in Europe and the US and was instrumental in helping build and successfully sell these companies, principally to major US corporations. These BOD/Chair roles include:- Movidius sold to Intel, DecaWave sold to Qorvo, Magnetics sold to Dell/EMC, Blue Data sold to HPE, Nanotec sold to Gennum Inc, Bridge Co sold to SMSC, Silicon Blue sold to Lattice Semi, Lion Semiconductor sold to Cirrus Logic, Hedvig Inc sold to Commvault, Nod Labs sold to AMD, NuVia sold to Qualcomm, Chirp sold to TDK and Navitas (NVTS) IPO on Nasdaq. Brian has an undergraduate and Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and Semiconductor MicroElectronics from Trinity College Dublin. Brian started his career as a design engineer at Bell Labs AT&T and later as Corporate head of mixed signal IC design at Digital Equipment Corporation. He is cited as the inventor on a number of US and European IC patents. Brian was awarded the Earnest&Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2000, Silicon Valley Top 50 Technology Executive in 2010 and was awarded the American-Ireland Fund Person of the year Award in 2014.
