João co-founded Atena Equity Partners in 2014 and is its Chairman. João also represents Atena as a board member in several of its funds' portfolio companies. Previously he worked in the Private Equity unit at Explorer Investments. João started his career as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (01-07) in Lisbon and New York - where he integrated the Private Equity team and performed business due diligences on several deals with an aggregate value of more than €10.000M. João has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BSc from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
