Subhasis Majumder Bio

Subhasis is one of the founding members and a Partner at Ascent. He has over 29 years of professional experience across fund management, financial services, strategy consulting and supply chain operations. At Ascent, Subhasis focuses on investments in financial services, education and technology. He is also actively involved in fundraising and responsible for managing investor relations for the Firm. Some of his recent investments include Acko, RBL Bank, and People Combine. Previously, as a business strategy consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting Services, Subhasis advised a number of Indian mid-market corporates. Earlier, Subhasis managed a India focused private equity fund for a Middle East based insurance company. He has also worked as a credit analyst at CRISIL. Subhasis holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, and MBA from IIM Bangalore and an AMP from Harvard Business School.
