Deepak Gowda Bio

Deepak is a founding member and Partner at Ascent Capital, with over 15 years of experience investing across the Private Equity spectrum in India. He specializes in growth investments within the healthcare and technology sectors, where he actively collaborates with dynamic, fast-growing portfolio companies. His hands-on approach involves working closely with entrepreneurs at both strategic and operational levels to help these companies scale and achieve their next phase of growth. Deepak currently serves on the boards of several companies, including Haber, Naari, Skanray, and Symbio. Earlier in his career, Deepak spent over a decade in the United States, holding various operating roles in product management, business development, consulting, and software development within the healthcare and technology sectors. As the Lead Product Manager at Biogistics Inc. in Atlanta, he led cross-functional teams, spearheaded re-engineering and productivity enhancement initiatives, and consulted with 30 major healthcare institutions across the U.S. Deepak has completed his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and Stanford Executive Program (SEP) from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Additionally, he has an MS in Computer Information Science from the University of South Alabama, and a BE in Electronics & Communication from the University of Mysore.
