James Ward Bio

After joining Artemis in 2011, James’ vision, commitment to growing through repeatable and scalable systems, and passion for building businesses has driven Artemis to new heights. As a Managing Partner, his responsibilities include developing of the firm’s industrial tech professionals, architecting internal structures, and executing Artemis’ fund-level strategies. Before teaming up with Peter to serve the industrial tech industry with a differentiated ownership model, James was a Vice President at Odeon Capital Group, a full-service boutique broker/dealer to institutional clients. Prior to Odeon, James served as a full-time member of AmeriCorp City Year, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering academic and life achievements among high school students by partnering with teachers on classroom and community programs. He received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters Degree from the Harvard Kennedy School.
