Carl Stjernfeldt Bio

Mr. Stjernfeldt joined ArcLight in 2021 and has over two decades of investing and energy experience, across a broad set of investment stages and focus areas. Prior to joining ArcLight Mr. Stjernfeldt was Head of Corporate Development for Royal Dutch Shell’s renewable business in North America and was the US leader for the corporate venture unit. Prior to Shell he spent more than 15 years doing venture capital investments at Battery Ventures and Castile Ventures. Before his investment career, Mr. Stjernfeldt was a software developer, manager, and consultant. He earned an MBA from MIT Sloan, and has a dual MS in Computer/Electrical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden and Northeastern in Boston.
