John Nugent Bio

John Nugent is a Principal covering technology and cyber security in the Operational Excellence Practice. He joined Apax Partners in 2020 and is currently based in London. His deal experience includes PIB Group and the Herjavec Group. Prior to joining Apax Partners, John was a Director at PwC, where he ran the Cyber Security in M&A practice. He held several senior operating roles during his time at PwC including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at a UK challenger bank and Divisional CISO at a global oil and gas company. John also worked as Practice Lead for Cyber Threat Intelligence and Consulting at Control Risks, an independent consultancy. John holds an MA in International Relations from Durham University, a BA in History and Politics from Lancaster University and is a Certified Cyber Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM).
