Ankur Ajmera Bio

Ankur is heavily involved in Ancala’s investment activity and works closely with Ancala’s portfolio companies. He joined Ancala in 2016 and is a member of Ancala’s management, investment and valuation committees. During his time at Ancala, Ankur has completed investments and portfolio bolt-on acquisitions in the energy transition and renewables, utilities, transport, digital and circular economy sectors. Ankur has almost 20 years’ experience in infrastructure. Prior to Ancala, he worked for the investment banking teams of Deutsche Bank and Macquarie Capital, covering the infrastructure and utilities sector in both Europe and Australia. In 2023, Ankur was named one of Infrastructure Investor’s Rising Stars in recognition of his achievements and the significant impact he has delivered in his career to date. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce and Law (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
