Thomas Wehinger Bio

Thomas Wehinger is the Founder of Alpina Equity, bringing a wealth of experience in private equity, international transactions, and corporate law. Prior to establishing Alpina Equity, he served as General Counsel and a member of the leadership team at Regent LP, a private equity firm in Beverly Hills, where he led all legal matters across both the corporate level and its portfolio of over twenty companies. Wehinger began his legal career as an M&A attorney at top-tier Swiss law firm Walder Wyss in Zurich before joining Latham & Watkins’ finance department in Los Angeles. His global perspective and expertise in structuring complex transactions have been instrumental in driving business growth and executing strategic international transactions and turnarounds. Under his tenure at Regent LP, he spearheaded over 30 acquisitions, facilitated substantial growth and helped expand the firm's footprint across diverse regions, both domestically and internationally. His efforts played a key role in scaling operations, increasing market reach, and strengthening the firm's global presence. A native of Switzerland, Wehinger’s leadership extends beyond the corporate world. As a First Lieutenant in the Swiss Armed Forces, he honed a disciplined, strategic, and results-driven approach to business - values that continue to shape Alpina Equity’s culture today. His ability to foster international relationships has played a key role in navigating cross-border investments and global operational challenges.
