John Butterworth Bio

John joined Agathos in 2020 and as a Director is responsible for transacting and partnering with management teams to unlock potential and navigate challenges. John has over 8 years’ experience as an investor backing ambitious leaders of growing UK SMEs, having previously been an investor at Connection Capital. John began his career at KPMG, as part of the transaction advisory team in London, and he also gained European international experience on secondment in Copenhagen. John brings extensive experience in delivering transactions and partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs to accelerate growth plans. John is also passionate about supporting finance, data and cyber initiatives across the portfolio. John graduated from Oxford University with a Mathematics & Statistics degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA).
