Zaahid Ganey Bio

Zaahid joined AIIM in 2021 as an Investment Principal focusing on the IDEAS Fund. Zaahid’s role includes analysing and assessing new investment opportunities, structuring of transactions, portfolio asset management as well as the execution, realisation and performance monitoring of investments across the renewable energy and digital infrastructure sectors. Zaahid is also responsible for leading the valuations across the IDEAS Fund. Prior to joining AIIM, Zaahid spent 13 years at Deloitte, most recently as an Associate Director in the Corporate Finance team where he focused on Valuations & Financial Modelling for project finance transactions. Zaahid has been involved in the SA REIPPP program since its inception and has subsequently been involved in every bid submission round and financial close round thereafter. Zaahid holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charter holder.
