Stephen Elia Bio

Steve is the Head of Investor Relations & Fundraising at AEA and a Partner. He joined the firm in 2006 to formalize and lead AEA’s investor relations and fundraising efforts. In his role, he is involved in all aspects of investor fundraising, communications and relations as well as business development. Before joining AEA, Steve was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch & Co.’s private equity fundraising group where he helped raise a variety of private equity and real estate funds from institutional investors worldwide. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he was a manager in the tax and business advisory group at Arthur Andersen. Steve earned a B.S. in accounting from Boston College, where he graduated with honors. He also earned an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management. Steve is also a certified public accountant.
