Tal Johnson Bio

Prior to founding Adventure, Tal Johnson was CEO of Tazo Tea. He and a team of managers and partners grew Tazo from early stage operations into a national premium brand from 1995 to 1999. Starbucks purchased Tazo in 1999 and Johnson continued full-time as President until 2005. Prior to Tazo, Johnson worked in private equity as Endeavour Capital's first associate. He was part of a team that made investments in radio, building products, manufacturing, and distribution. He also worked in a leveraged buyout group at PacifiCorp Financial and in IT consulting. He has an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BA from Harvard College.
