Construtora Tenda S.A. (?Tenda? or the ?Company?) is a publicly-traded Brazilian homebuilder focused exclusively on the affordable/entry-level segment in Brazil. Headquartered in S?o Paulo, Tenda was founded in 1994 and completed its initial public offering on the Brazilian stock exchange in October 2007 (Bovespa:TEND3), raising approximately R$603 million of equity capital in the process. In October 2008, Gafisa S.A. (NYSE:GFA; Bovespa:GFSA3), a Brazilian homebuilder also owned in part by Equity International, acquired a 60 percent majority ownership stake in Tenda through the merger of its Fit Residencial business unit with Tenda.
