William is Founder and Director of WY Partners having established the business in 2015 following four years in WPP’s internal M&A team. William is passionate about media and technology with many years experience advising fast growing disruptive businesses in the space. William has led successful transactions in many companies including Cheetah Digital’s acquisition of Wayin, Jellyfish’s acquisition of The ASO Co and Fat Media’s acquisition of Reading Room and has sold businesses to Dentsu Aegis Network, IPG, Vice Media, Endeavour IMG and Cognizant. William began his career in Deloitte’s M&A team before moving on to a Venture Capital firm investing in high growth technology businesses. In 2010 he joined WPP’s M&A team where he worked on over 50 M&A transactions over 4 years including the transformative acquisition of AKQA. William graduated from Edinburgh University with an MA in Business and Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
