Bio

Gustavo G. Dolfino is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of WhiteRock Capital Partners, Inc. and of The WhiteRock Group, LLC. both headquartered in New York City. Mr. Dolfino is a frequent speaker on CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, CBS Marketwatch, Securitization News, Asset Backed Alert, and FOX News, among others. Prior to starting the firm, Mr. Dolfino was employed by UBS International, as Head of Sales for the Private Wealth Management Group. In that position Mr. Dolfino was responsible for hiring top producers worldwide as well as conceiving and structuring new equity and fixed income product offerings. Before his tenure at UBS, Mr. Dolfino was Head of Debt Capital Markets, Emerging Markets, at Smith Barney Inc. His role was to originate, structure and execute Sovereign and Corporate Emerging Market based debt mandates. Such deals were high yield and leveraged finance in nature and were listed in Luxemburg as Euro 144A, Reg-S offerings. Mr. Dolfino put Smith Barney on the map and at the top of the league tables in the context of these types of offerings in emerging markets. He is widely credited with producing multi-million dollar revenues for his group and the firm as a whole. Prior to joining Smith Barney, Mr. Dolfino founded and sold Cancer Frontiers Inc. an internet based B2B provider of genetic oncology drugs which mediated the sale of the drugs to office based oncology providers from Pharmaceutical Producers. The successful firm was eventually sold to a major Pharmaceutical Company. Dolfino donated 100% of the proceeds of the sale - a multi-million dollar number - to a charity he created in honor of his mother - Fanny Katz - who passed away from Cancer. The funds were used to finance Cancer research along the lines of genetic engineering and anti - angiogenesis which consensus indicates will be considered the treatments of the future. Before the Cancer Frontiers experience, Mr. Dolfino was a Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at JE Capital, Inc. a New York based sell side mergers and acquisitions investment banking boutique. Mr. Dolfino was in charge of originating, structuring and executing, middle market transactions involving recapitalizations, restructuring, distressed and turnaround situations, as well as representing a number of sellers and buyers pursuant to sales, divestitures, leveraged transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Dolfino's group was credited with having the highest revenues at PJ Capital, Inc. for 2 years in a row, and effectively competing and beating a number of Wall Street firms in obtaining and executing mandates. Mr. Dolfino holds a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in International Management from Thunderbird - The American Graduate School of International Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a major in International Business from The George Washington University. He is fluent in English & Spanish and conversational in Italian, Portuguese and French. Mr. Dolfino lives in New York City and is an active member in a number of organizations.
