Hobey serves as a Managing Director at Viant Capital and was previously with Western International, Securities, GBS Securities, and ePlanning Securities. Before that, Hobey was Chief Administrative Office / General Counsel at Borland Software and Associate General Counsel at Apple. Hobey was also a partner at various international law firms and practiced law in Japan for four years. Additionally, Hobey was on the boards of Finelite from 2013 through 2017, Schilling Robotics from 2008 through 2012 and Optical Communication Products Inc. (OCPI) from 2002 through 2007. Hobey earned an A.B. from Princeton university and a J.D. from the University of Michigan.
