Steve Hunter is a Managing Director of TM Capital Corp., headquartered in our Atlanta office. Steve leads the firm’s Financial Sponsor practice where he is responsible for managing and growing the firm’s business with private equity firms. During Steve’s 25+ year career, he has developed an extensive network of senior level relationships with private equity firms across the United States and has worked with clients in a broad range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, equipment dealerships, business services and consumer. Prior to joining TM, Steve was a Managing Director with Greene Holcomb Fisher, which was acquired by BMO Capital Markets. While at GHF, Steve opened the Atlanta office and built and led the firm’s private equity coverage group. Prior to joining Greene Holcomb Fisher, Steve was a managing director at Morgan Keegan, a middle-market investment banking firm, where he co-led the firm’s Industrial and Financial Sponsor Coverage efforts. Mr. Hunter has also worked at Robertson Stephens, Alex. Brown & Sons and The Robinson-Humphrey Company. Steve is currently on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of the Associate for Corporate Growth and is also on the committee for Intergrowth 2022. Steve received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A., magna cum laude with Honors in Economics, from Bucknell University.
