Deborah is a Partner at Raine. Deborah is the head of the firm’s Shanghai office. Prior to Raine, Deborah was a Managing Director and head of Asia-Pacific Consumer, Retail, Gaming and Industrial Investment Banking for Morgan Stanley, based in Hong Kong. Deborah built this industry practice for Morgan Stanley in Asia, focusing the business on the emerging private sector in China. She has advised and raised capital for some of today’s best-known Chinese brands, including Mengniu Dairy, Belle, Anta, and Boseideng, among others. Deborah was with Morgan Stanley for over 14 years, during which time she was also chief operating officer for the Investment Banking division in Asia as well as a member of the Asia-Pacific Telecom & Media team. Deborah has a B.A. from Cornell University, and an M.A. from The Joseph H. Lauder Institute and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business, both at the University of Pennsylvania.
