Bio

Michael E. Dockendorf is a Managing Director at The Peakstone Group where he is responsible for transaction origination and execution. Michael has more than 35 years of financial services experience, including 30 years at the Senior Managing Director level at Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Kidder Peabody, Credit Suisse, and the Royal Bank of Canada, where he held positions in sales management, new issue and secondary equity syndication, and investment banking. He has extensive experience in capital raising transactions including common and preferred equity, bonds and loan capital. Prior to joining Peakstone, Michael was a Managing Director and Investment Banker with the accounting firm, Sikich. Michael also served as President of a boutique investment bank with offices in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco specializing in private late-stage venture funding. In addition to leading capital raises for private equity-backed companies, he served on the firm’s senior management board with responsibilities for investment portfolio analysis, strategic planning and marketing. Michael served as President of the Graduate Management Association at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He has been a member of the advisory board of John Nuveen and Company, and Native American Capital, LLC and is a former officer in the United States Marine Corps. He received his M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and B.A. in Economics, from Wabash College.
