Prior to joining TAP, Mr. Majar was Managing Partner of Majar Advisors LLC, where he provided senior advisory services to select institutional clients within Financial Technology & Financial Services. Prior to Majar Advisors, Mr. Majar was Managing Director of Financial Technology & Co-Head of Diversified Financials for Piper Jaffrey where he also coordinated efforts with the financial sponsor coverage team on dedicated private equity funds in the financial service sector. Previously, Mr. Majar was a Managing Director at Sterne, Agee & Leech, Inc. and a Senior Partner at Freeman and Co., LLC where he spent 15 years helping build the franchise, both focused on the financial technology and financial services industries. Mr. Majar also was an officer at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he focused on the technology sector. Mr. Majar has strong historic relationships across the financial technology spectrum, including payments, digital banking and capital markets technology. Mr. Majar also has concentrated relationships across Financial & Business Services companies including the sub-sectors of broker-dealers, asset management, active mortgage REITS and select specialty finance. Mr. Majar played a key role in transactions that included Blackstone-Paysafe, Great Ajax, Instinet and Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Majar received his Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Washington’s business school, which helps guide the school's dean in key strategic directions and initiatives.
