Bio

Clark Spurrier has been in Technology investment banking for more than 29 years and has advised on over 150 Mergers & Acquisitions, IPOs, common stock and convertible offerings, private placements, and restructurings. Many of these transactions stand out as transformational and industry defining within their respective Technology subsectors. Clark has been viewed as a top banker and thought leader in Technology since the early 1990s. He was a founding member of the JP Morgan Technology Group in 1995, where he created the Internet/New Media practice. He later joined Morgan Stanley’s Technology Group, where he created the B2B Software and FinTech practices, and was a leading banker throughout the rise of the Internet. Clark also held senior leadership positions at Thomas Weisel Partners and CIBC. Clark founded SCP in 2009. The Firm quickly differentiated itself with its unique Consigliere Approach in which the Firm is the trusted advisor and counselor to the senior management teams and boards of its clients. The unique elements of SCP’s model include (1) unequaled domain expertise; (2) strong relationships with the influential Technology Private Equity firms and large Strategics; and (3) world-class execution capability. Prior to his career in finance, Clark was a Military Intelligence Officer, serving as a paratrooper and Master Parachutist in the 82nd Airborne Division and XVIII Airborne Corps with 77 parachute jumps. Clark holds a BS in Engineering from The United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
