Bio

Brian Griffiths is a senior investment banker with 30 years’ experience in working with leading technology companies both in the U.S. and internationally. Brian has broad experience in mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, equity and debt financings – having completed 150 transactions with an aggregate value over $100 billion. Brian has significant domain expertise within the technology sector as well as extensive international and cross-border transaction execution experience. Prior to joining SCP in January 2020, Brian was CFO of Skorpios Technologies, a disruptive silicon photonics company. As CFO, Brian had a broad set of responsibilities that spanned nearly every aspect of the Company’s operations in addition to managing the finance and accounting functions. At Skorpios, Brian completed two equity raises, multiple debt financings and several strategic transactions. Prior to Skorpios, Brian was a Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners where he helped build the Technology Group. Before that, Brian was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in London and New York and served in several roles including Co-Head of European TMT and Head of the European Technology Group. Prior to that, he served as Co-Head of the Global Technology Group at Deutsche Bank in London. Earlier in his banking career, he was a founding member of the J.P. Morgan Technology Group. Brian later joined Morgan Stanley’s Global Technology Group in New York and subsequently moved to London to help build Morgan Stanley’s Technology business in Europe. Brian earned a BA in Economics from Tufts University (Magna Cum Laude), an MS in Accounting from NYU, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
