Peter Hansen founded Sapient in 1997 to provide independent corporate finance and strategic advice to companies in the pubs, bars and leisure sectors. Peter’s first deal in the sector was the 1991 acquisition of 372 pubs from Bass to create Enterprise Inns. Since then Peter has advised eight of the 10 largest managed and tenanted pub companies in the UK, including Punch Taverns, Admiral Taverns, Mitchells & Butlers, Heineken and Stonegate Pub Company. Peter holds an MBA from Harvard University (with Distinction) and degrees in Economics (including a Masters degree) and Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
