John Lanza joined Baird in 2000 and has extensive experience in executing mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions. John spent his first year in Baird’s Investing Banking Group and then worked as an analyst in the Equity Research Department. He rejoined investment banking in 2003 at which time he founded the Industrial Services practice to capitalize on the growing interest in construction, engineering, infrastructure and environmental services industries. John maintains an active dialogue with a broad group of services firms and is the primary relationship banker for Andy Wittmann’s Industrial Services coverage universe. John’s experience also includes five years as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche where he ultimately reached the level of manager. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Administration. In addition, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park where he was an honors student.
