Bio

Pierre joined Results in 2014. He has spent the last 15 years covering the Information Technology and Marketing & Communications industries as an investment banker and an investment professional. He has advised on a wide range of transactions including financings by placement of debt and equity securities, initial public offerings, acquisitions, mergers, and privatizations. In 2005, Pierre co-founded GroupArgent, the New York investment banking and acceleration firm which joined Results in 2014. Select clients Pierre has advised during his career: Hearst on its acquisition of the San Francisco Chronicle, ATT on its sale of the Sao Paolo phone directory, Telenor on its acquisition of Comsat Communications, the Hungarian privatization agency on the sale of 14 state-owned electricity production and distribution companies, FOX Interactive Media on the divestiture of its Ad Tech business, BuyDomains on its sale to Highland Capital Partners and Summit Partners, and Hunt Mobile Ads on its sale to Opera Software. Earlier in his career, Pierre worked as a telecom finance lawyer at Clifford Chance, one of the “Magic Circle” of leading British law firms. Pierre was subsequently recruited by a NYC hedge fund to run a direct investment strategy to make buyout investments in U.S. technology firms. He set up an investment team which reviewed over 3,000 opportunities in the course of five years, making six acquisitions resulting in Zanett, Inc., one of the most important Oracle solutions providers in the United States. This investment strategy resulted in a NASDAQ listing, for a 37% IRR to the hedge fund. KPMG acquired Zanett, Inc in June 2014. Pierre holds a law degree from McGill University.
