Bio

Jeff is a Managing Director at Qatalyst. Prior to joining Qatalyst in June 2011, Jeff was a vice president at Goldman Sachs, in the Technology, Media and Telecom Group, focusing on both strategic and corporate finance advisory. Jeff's strategic advisory experience includes Acme Packet's $2.1B sale to Oracle, Adobe's $1.8B acquisition of Omniture, Advent Software's pending $2.7B sale to SS&C Technologies, Applied Predictive Technologies’ $600MM sale to MasterCard, Concur's $8.3B sale to SAP, Datalogix's sale to Oracle, Magma Automation's $550MM sale to Synopsys, Pentaho's sale to Hitachi Data Systems, RelateIQ's $400MM sale to Salesforce.com and Taleo's $2.1B sale to Oracle. He has also advised on the hostile defense/activism and corporate advisory assignments for companies including Advent Software, Cornerstone OnDemand, Coupa Software, LiveNation, Mentor Graphics, Micrel, NetApp, Rovi, RPX, Sorenson Communications and SuccessFactors. Jeff is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and his M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
