Brian is a founder of Qatalyst, and is co-head of its Enterprise Software Group. He previously worked at Vista Equity Partners and in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse focusing on strategic advisory assignments in the Technology sector. Brian’s strategic and financial advisory experience includes Appdynamics’s $3.7B sale to Cisco, Autonomy’s $11.7B sale to HP, Bain Capital’s acquisition of BMC, Brocade’s $2.6B acquisition of Foundry, CA on its sale to Broadcom for $18.9B, Citrix’s acquisition of Cloud.com, Cyvera’s $200MM sale to Palo Alto Networks, Data Domain’s $2.4B sale to EMC, Google’s $3.1B acquisition of DoubleClick, Informatica’s $5.3B sale to Permira and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Informatica’s acquisition of Siperian, Intuit’s divestiture of its Financial Services Division to Thoma Bravo, Mandiant’s $1B sale to FireEye, National Semiconductor’s $6.5B sale to Texas Instruments, Nicira’s $1.3B sale to VMware, Riverbed’s $3.6B sale to Thoma Bravo, Silver Tail Systems’ sale to EMC, Sourcefire’s $2.7B sale to Cisco and Yammer’s $1.2B sale to Microsoft. Brian is originally from Washington, D.C. and received an A.B. in Economics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
