Matthew Page is a managing director in the chemicals & materials group at Piper Sandler. He is responsible for originating and executing merger and acquisition and capital raising transactions for public and private companies in the chemicals and related materials industry. Previously, he was a managing director at The Valence Group. Page has over two decades of experience advising chemical and related materials companies on complex M&A, capital raising and restructuring assignments with a cumulative deal value in excess of $60 billion. Prior to joining The Valence Group in 2016, Page was a managing director in the chemical group at Evercore. Before Evercore, Page joined Lazard in 2004 and previously held several positions at Morgan Stanley and Commerzbank from 1999. Representative transactions include the sale of Basell to Access Industries, the sale of Rohm & Haas to Dow Chemical, the financial restructuring of LyondellBasell, the acquisition of the Fire Safety business of ICL by SK Capital and the acquisition of Huntsman’s Ethylene Oxide and downstream derivates business by Indorama Ventures. Page holds a first class master’s degree with honors in chemistry from the University of Exeter.
