Vishal is a senior president at YES Securities (India) Limited, Oaklins’ member firm in India. He has over 20 years of extensive business and dealmaking experience as a strategic advisor to corporates for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic equity fundraising and IPOs across domestic and international transactions. He has broad industry experience, but currently leads the team on technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), banking & financial services and industrials & automotive. Recent transactions include the merger of Videocon D2H with Dish TV – a US$2 billion transaction and one of the top 10 M&A transactions in India in 2018 – to create the largest pay TV company in the world; the sale of Indiaproperty.com, a major real estate platform, to QUIKR, India’s leading online classifieds company; the sale of a strategic 49% stake in Travel Food Services (TFS), India’s largest travel food & beverage company, to SSP Global, a FTSE 100 company and a global leader in travel food services; and advising Cinepolis Mexico, the world’s top three cinema chain, on their acquisition of DT Cinema screens in India. Vishal has been a regular speaker at conferences focused on M&A and financial services. He joined YES BANK’s investment banking business in 2006 and has since then been part of its exponential growth.
