John joined O’Hare Management in 2016 after a distinguished career of nearly 30 years in the institutional investment management world. He most recently served as Head of Equities at Fidelity Investment’s institutional arm, where he built a team of more than 60 people in Boston, London and Hong Kong. John represented the firm’s investment strategies and outlook to major investors around the world. John started his career as a high-yield bond analyst and portfolio manager for Barings, the British merchant bank, where he learned to analyze private and public market M&A across a variety of industries through detailed financial analysis and close engagement with company management. Later, in his role representing Fidelity’s investment platform to the institutional investment community, John developed an extensive network of personal and institutional contacts that he now calls on to help O’Hare Management’s clients. John is currently engaged in expanding O’Hare’s network of investors and corporate clients as the firm seeks to enhance its ability to meet client needs. He is also involved in raising capital for Hollywood film projects. In addition to his investment work John has experience as an entrepreneur, having been an owner and Co-Managing Partner of the Boston Breakers, a professional women’s soccer team, from 2014-2017. He coaches a high school girls varsity soccer team in the Boston area and is president of a local youth soccer club there. John received his B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
