Louis Mitchell is a managing director in Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking group. He is responsible for developing key relationships, leading deal teams throughout the transaction process and providing advisory services on middle-market M&A assignments within the paper, plastics and packaging sectors. Since joining the firm in 2002, Louis has been involved in over 100 M&A transactions involving industry consolidators such as Amcor, Ampac, CCL Industries, Cenveo, Coveris, Georgia Pacific, Graphic Packaging, Greif, Huhtamaki, Hood, Intertape Polymer, Printpack, Sabert and Sonoco, among others. Prior to Mesirow Financial, he was with the New York office of Salomon Smith Barney, where he covered packaging transactions in the Americas and Europe. Louis has been featured in publications such as The Deal, Packaging Strategies and Plastics News. In addition, he has been a guest speaker at numerous industry conferences and events, and was a finalist for The M&A Advisor’s 2013 Dealmaker of the Year award. Louis earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 79 licenses.
